Hey AP, did you ask Denver hookers too? Do they think they will see a surge in activity when the DNC is in town? Did anyone at AP even bother to ask?
You see, when people wonder what media bias is, these are the examples I give. It’s not that the story’s not being reported fairly, but that only one half of the story is being reported at all.
Being a fairminded reporter myself at onetime, I would want to find out if Denver prostitutes are expecting a surge of business due to the Democratic convention. Then I would go to both cities’ police departments after the conventions to see the numbers of prostitution arrests for that time period, along with out of towners getting arrested. Once I had those numbers, I could very easily see if there is indeed an increase when conventions come to a town, and also which group of people tend to cause a bigger “surge”. Sure a reporter would have to make three more phone calls, but I think it’s important to find the whole unbiased story. Don’t you?
Of course, I’m sure the AP is already working on all of this and I’m waiting to see the AP story about Denver Prostitutes expecting a surge when Democrats…ahem…come here.
I won’t, however, be holding my breath.
