Not only did they crush the Brewers today 19 – 4 but it appears the players are superhuman…
X-rays taken Wednesday show Rockies pitcher Jason Hirsh suffered a broken leg when he was hit by a line drive in the first inning the night before, even though he stayed in for five more innings and got the victory.
Terrible news about Hirsh, but how tough is this guy that, not only pitches on a broken leg, but wins the game with it. Hirsh was already becoming my favorite player for dinosaur tipping Dinger, (watch it here under “Dinger Tipping”) but this puts him over the top.
Get well soon Jason. We need you for the stretch run.

Darren,
Did’t see a contact point on the blog, so I’m posting here. Have you gotten the latest Press Club update. SPJ will hang a plaque on our beloved old dive.
When you go look at the list of places/people so honored, it seems that this will be the second year in a row to give a plaque to the “longest continually operating Press Club in the United States”. Milwaukee makes a claim from 1885 and got their plaque last year.
I imagine a blogger might point out the great fact checking involved.
Cheers
