It’s our 131th Birthday!
President Grant declared Colorado a state on August 1, 1876 and it became known as the “Centennial State.”
And on August 2nd, Californians and Texans started moving here. Bastards!
In honor of this most auspicious day, here’s the song we all had drummed into our heads from kindergarten on. If you want to hear it, ask any Colorado native, I guarantee they’ll know it.
It’s not the state song, but it’s far more catchy.
