I couldn’t believe this…
When firefighters responded to an alarm at a local research center, they found no fire and one guilty ape.
A bonobo named Panbanisha pulled the fire alarm last Friday at the Great Ape Trust of Iowa, said apologetic researchers.
“It’s my understanding that she’s been told not to do it again,” Trust spokesman Al Setka said.
I guess I should be happy that the ape was “told not to do it again”, because I was worried the old girl was unsure of the policy, and didn’t have time to read the manual for the rules and regulations of the Trust of Iowa. It’s not like it was her fault this wasn’t explained to her.
Because, you know, you never have to tell an ape twice.
