AP: Air America goes Chapter 11

Can’t say I’m surprised….

Air America Radio, a liberal talk and news radio network that features the comedian Al Franken, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a network official told The AP.

Not that this is big news.  The networks had been in trouble for months, nay years.  Having been around many radio stations, including some no longer around, I can say that most people know when a station’s in trouble.  It falls under the “if it walks like a duck” mantra.  If “rumors” keep surfacing that someone’s not doing well, chances are that they’re not.

I have to give Air America credit.  I never thought they’d hang on this long.  And Chapter 11 isn’t the end of the world, just look at United Airlines
